Organisation

As the only primary school in Camelford, when organising classes, we have to respond to the present needs of the community. As our community is growing, so too is our school.  This year we have welcomed the addition of 3 new classes allowing us to restructure the classes into Phases.
Foundation Phase- Nursery (Port Quin) and 2 Reception Classes (Harlyn & Daymer)

KS1 Phase- 3 Year 1/2 Classes (Trevone, Summerleaze & Lundy)

Lower KS2 Phase- 3 Year 3/4 Classes (Crackington Haven, Watergate & Port Isaac)

Upper KS2 Phase- 3 Year 5/6 Classes (Bossiney, Tintagel & Fistral)

The Foundation Phase, provided during the Nursery and Reception Years, is when we build the firm foundations for a life as a learner.

KS1 (Years 1 and 2). Pupils start to build their own educational confidence and see themselves as young learners. Our commitment is to ensure that they have a planned curriculum provided for them that ensures their individual development.  We therefore see each child as an individual within a larger group, the educational provision for which will always be the best possible that we can achieve.
These two phases are led by Mrs Czech.

Lower and Upper KS2 (Years 3,4,5 & 6).  Pupils are expected to take a great deal of responsibility for their personal learning, and for improving their own achievement levels. These two phases are led by Mrs Smith.
