Year 1/2 Visit Delabole Fire Station to Burn down Pudding Lane

Year 1/2 had a great morning at Delabole Fire Station.

The children listened to the firefighters talk about their jobs and how they keep safe.  They also asked lots of interesting questions.

Fireman Dave showed the children around the fire engine and they all had a turn at climbing into the back.

Just before the children returned to school, they created their own mini fire of London.  They made Puddling Lane by placing the Tudor houses they had made in school in a line.  The houses were then set alight!  All the children sang a song to retell the story as the houses were burning!

Year 3/4 visited the Eden Project as part of their Mayan/Chocolate Project

Year 5/6 visited Davidstow War Museum as part of our in depth topic about WW2

Fistral and Tintagel class have had a brilliant topic themed day at the ‘Davidstow at War Museum.’ We are so lucky to have such a great museum so close by. It was a bit wet and windy but that didn’t stop the children having fun and learning lots of new facts about WW2. The owners of the museum were impressed with their intelligent questions and behaviour. Bossiney class are going this Monday - hopefully it will be a bit drier for them! We hope you enjoy a sample of the photos.
