Welcome to Bossiney Class - Year 5/6

Teacher: Mrs Rabson / Miss McGuill

LSA: Mrs Flanders

What a busy and fun start to the year we have had!

This term we are looking at the events of WW2 and how life was very different during this time. We have enjoyed reading ‘Friend or Foe’ and have done lots of fantastic drama and writing from it.

Our trip to Davidstow War Museum was amazing! We learnt so much. Check out the photos and ask us what we saw and did.

So many of you are working hard to achieve your 99 club badge. Keep persevering you can all do it! A massive well done to everyone who has achieved their first reading sticker.

Keep an eye on our page to find out about more about the learning and adventures of Bossiney Class.

Let's investigate!  How can we get this muddy water clear?

Today, Bossiney class were set an investigation challenge. They used their knowledge of properties of materials to help them to design and conduct an investigation. Their challenge was to get the muddy water as clear as possible . In their teams, they discussed what they would need and how they would set it up.

It was fantastic to see so many children using their Scientific language to describe what was happening and why.

It was difficult to choose a winning group as everyone managed to filter the muddy water into something that resembled ‘clear’ water. However the winning team was Ruby, Raymond, Will, Sophie and Freddie. Well done to all involved!

Our Trip to The Cornwall at War Museum, Davidstow.

On Monday 14th October, Bossiney Class visited the Cornwall at War Museum as part of thier WW2 project.

Samba Drumming

We are very lucky to have weekly samba drumming lessons. We are really enjoying them and look forward to sharing our work with you at the end of the term.
